Small Town Grub
As customers walk through the two sets of double doors to get into Beeman's Family Restaurant and Lounge they begin to notice a variety of smells and sounds. The sounds being anything from silverware clinking together to the chit chat of the customers. To the left of the restaurant there is a gift shop where the hostess station is located, past this is a dining room with a salad bar and a nice setup that makes it family friendly. To the right of the front doors is yet another dining area that leads into the bar section that has more of a relaxed vibe to it due to having several TVs and a fireplace. The picture below shows the two available dining areas.
Beeman's first opened up around the year 1980 and has been in the family for about two generations. It was originally owned by Larry Beeman and now owned by his son Scott Beeman. This lovely place is almost entirely ran by family members along with the help of a few family friends that have worked there faithfully for several years. With that being said, Beeman's gives off a very welcoming and loving vibe that most restaurants attempt and fail to have. The family creates a loving environment in their restaurant by working hard to hire positive, hardworking, and outgoing people.
Amanda Thomas is a tall, blonde haired hostess with glasses, that loves to chat as she works. Amanda is one of the most experienced workers at this restaurant. She has been working at Beeman's for the past 7 years and often helps out with bartending, serving, ordering supplies, and answering phones in addition to being a hostess. She also knows how the restaurant works due to her having a close friendship with the Beeman family. Amanda explains, "I really like dealing the customers, the fellow workers, and the community on a daily basis. I love some of the relationships I have built here." Her attitude with the place makes you have an even better experience because of her loving energy she has. In the picture below Angie, Amanda, and Beth (left to right) are standing together enjoying their work day.
If people don't absolutely love the environment, then the food will definitely have them coming back. Some of the most popular entrees are the BBQ melt, prime rib, and the chicken dinners. The BBQ melt is a grilled sandwich that consist of American cheese, bacon, and chicken tenders all on two slices of buttered sourdough bread. Next, the prime rib comes in all desired temperatures and is offered in an 8 ounce or 12 ounce cut. Lastly, the chicken dinners are offered in three ways beer battered, broiled, and fried. The American home-style menu they offer is desirable. Whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner there are several options including a kid's menu. It could be debatable if their food is better than their homemade desserts. Beeman's Family Restaurant and Lounge is an enjoyable time no matter the occasion.
