Solutions to Air Pollution

What if the air was so bad you couldn't leave your house to go outside? What if playing outdoors was no longer an option because of how bad the air became? As a child, I loved playing outside with my siblings, and if I couldn't do that because of the air quality than my childhood would have been completely different. Being able to breathe clean air is a privilege that everyone should have the right too. a world without clean air is not a world anyone can live in happily, and there are so many solutions to this problem to lessen air pollution. 

What is Air Pollution and it's causes?

In order to be able to help this problem, you have to understand what air pollution is. Air pollution is basically anything that is let out into the air that is likely to be bad for the planet. A few causes of this are the fossil fuels from factories, and cars. In the picture shown, (figure 1) fossil fuels are burning from factories. fossil fuels is one of the main causes to air pollution. Coal, oil, natural gases come from fossil fuels, which are pollutants that cause the air quality to be bad. Carbon Dioxide is a chemical that comes from burning fossil fuels as well that destroy our planet. 

Solutions

One solution to this problem would be to car-pool with friends, or take the local transportation to get to places. Public transportation, such as busses and trains help lessen the problem of air pollution for several reasons. The first reason is because if everyone drove their own car to places, than the air quality would be unbareable to live in. If everyone were to take the public bus to school rather than driving, it lessens the amount of cars that will be polluting the air. The chemicals that come from car engines are most often the cause of poor air quality. Another solution to the problem would be to ride your bike to school or to a friends house rather than using a car so that you avoid adding any bad pollutants into the air.

In the picture shown (figure 2), traffic is shown with cars polluting the air. traffic causes air pollution to go up a lot because of the amount of gasses coming out of the engine of the cars. traffic makes the time cars are on the road longer, so in return, air pollution increases more than normal.

It's time to start treating our planet right and taking care of it! Cars are usually filled at gas stations with gas but is not okay for the planet, so instead cars have been made to be battery power based! An example of a car like this is indicated in the picture (figure 3). If everyone doesn't start making a change to their daily lives by polluting the air less, the planet just simply won't be able to handle the damage. We want our planet to be around for millions more years to come, lets help this happen by putting a stop to air pollution.
